This historic hotel in Los Angeles, California, was first opened in 1927 and was the venue of the first Academy Awards. These shining presences on the screen are still at home at the hotel as there are reported sightings of the spirits of Marilyn Monroe, Errol Flynn and Montgomery Cliff. Stanley Hotel

Nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Estes Park, Colorado, The Stanley Hotel is one of the most famous haunted hotels in the country and was the inspiration for Stephen King’s novel “The Shining”. The Equinox

It is believed that the ghost of Mary Todd Lincoln is present in this hotel as it was where she was staying at the time of President Lincoln’s assassination. Built on the site of a Civil War Confederate Hospital, the hotel has countless reported sightings of soldier ghosts from the past. While some see a ghost figure, other hauntings include seeing an entire Civil War era hospital room in action for a fleeting moment.
